1. Multi-skilled Music Instructor(s) - to teach music to groups of primary school aged children. Northern Suburbs Catholic School.
*3 - 6 Hours / Week, depending on your multi-skill level. Rock and Pop for Schools LMA
2. Multi-skilled Music Instructor(s) - to teach music to groups of primary school aged children. North Eastern Suburbs Primary Schools.
*3 - 12 Hours / Week, depending on your multi-skill level. Rock and Pop for Schools LMA
3. Specialist or Multi-skilled Instructors - to teach 'One on one' and 'Group Lessons' During School and After hours at Northern training Location.
*Hours to be to be confirmed. Northern Sound System LMA
4. Specialist or Multi-skilled Instructor(s) - to teach 'One on one' and 'Group Lessons' During School and After hours at a North Eastern training location.

5. Multi-skilled Music Instructor(s) - to teach music to groups of primary school aged children. Various Western suburbs Primary Schools (Catholic and Public).
*3 - 18 Hours / Week, depending on your multi-skill level. Rock and Pop for Schools LMA
6. Rock Band / Music Industry / Music Technology Trainers - required for LMA's Aussie ROCKSCHOOL Program.
*Hours / Locations to be confirmed. City and 'Country' work available. Aussie ROCKSCHOOL LMA
7. Keyboard / Vocals (basic percussion / movement) Instructor - Required for LMA's new Pre-school Music program. *New in 2009!

8. Multi-skilled (Drum / Beginner Vocal) Instructor - to teach music to groups of primary school aged children. Southern Primary School.
*Approximately - 4-6 Hours / Week. Rock and Pop for Schools LMA
9. Multi-Skilled Music Instructor - required for LMA's Aussie ROCKSCHOOL Program (Beginner 'After hours' primary school format). *2-3 Hour Sessions consisting of - Basic Instrumental tuition, Beginner Rock Band, songwirting and Music Industry training to primary school children under 13 years of age.

10. Specialist or Multi-skilled Instructor(s) - to teach music 'one on one' to primary school aged children. North Eastern Suburbs Catholic School. *Guitar and Drum Instructors please apply.

11. Multi-skilled Music Instructor(s) - to teach music to groups of primary school aged children. Inner Western (near city) Catholic School.
*3 - 6 Hours / Week, depending on your multi-skill level. Rock and Pop for Schools LMA
12. Multi-skilled (Drum / Guitar / Vocal) Instructor(s) - to teach music to groups of primary school aged children. Inner Southern Primary Schools.
*Approximately - 3 - 8 Hours / Week, depending on your multi-skill level. Rock and Pop for Schools LMA
L.M.A Instructor Pay Rates
Rock and Pop for Schools - Music Instructor Pay Range, between $22.00 - $30.00+ / hour (to be negotiated, and depends on the nature of the contract, and the experience and qualifications of the Instructor).
Aussie ROCKSCHOOL - Music Instructor Pay Range, between $25.00 - $50.00+ / hour (to be negotiated, and depends on the nature of the contract, and the experience and qualifications of the Instructor).
High School / Trainee Music Contractors - Fees are to be negotiated wth LMA. In accordance with current 'award' training rates.
Extra Information for Music Instructors
To be eligible to work as a Learning Music Australia Music Contractor / Music Instructor you must have extensive experience and relevant music skills and a love of music....you must also have a passion for imparting knowledge on to others. *Most of LMA's students are under the age of 13....so it helps if you are able to relate well to young children:)
In addition to music / teaching skills, you must be willing to 'set up' as an independent contractor and abide by the policies that have been set at each of the schools you work at (Inc. D.E.C.S). You must also abide by the stringent guidelines that have been set by Learning Music Australia.
In the first instance you must have -
a. Relevant music skills, and the ability to interact well with young children.
b. You must have a National Police clearance / and a Catholic Police clearance if you are wanting to work at a Catholic School.
c. Ideally you will already have a Mandatory Notification Certificate (we can assist you with this, if you don't have a current certificate - it's a '7 hour course' based around 'child protection / child safety'). *LMA are able to deliver this course (S.A only)
d. You also need to have your own 'Public Liability' Insurance. *If you don't, we can assist you with this process. It's quite easy!
e. If you have limited, or no experience in tutoring students, we are keen to chat with you about your training options. We can help you through this process to get you 'work ready'.
Once you have been approved as a Music Contractor, you will need to sign the following agrrements, to formailse your involvement with LMA -
1. A Music Contractor Agreement
2. An LMA Confidentiality / 'Non-Solicitation' agreement
3. An LMA child Saftey / Engagement and Behaviour Management agreement
4. A Curriculum and Reporting Agreement.
Also....For each school you are appointed to, you will sign an agreement.
This whole process is designed to -
a. Ensure the quality of the service and the safety of the children
b. Protect your contract / longevity of the arrangement
c. Ensure complete transparency of information between all parties.

ON-LINE AUDITION - NEW!!
Learning Music Australia are very busy, and have been finding it extremely difficult to find the time to audition / interview new instructors / music contractors. We have created the following process to overcome this issue. It is now much easier to become a Legally compliant, LM.A music instructor.
If you are interested in becoming a legally compliant instructor, please do the following -
1. Forward a copy of your resume and a Cover Letter to Learning Music Australia - rockandpop@bigpond.com *Please feel free to include links to your website (myspace / facebook) if you have one, so we are able to find out more about your musical skills.
2. Video yourself performing two songs 'live', and introduce yourself to L.M.A (please upload your video to myspace or you-tube, and send us the link so we are able to view it). *L.M.A are especially keen to hear from Multi-instrumentalists. So, if you play more than one instrument...please record yourself playing all instruments (even if it's something simple). Feel free to tell us about your level of competency on your second, third and forth instruments.
3. Based on this application we will decide if we wish to engage in training or if we are able to offer you a music teaching contract / an 'in-house' training program. We look forward to hearing from you soon!
We wish to receive
letters of applications from musicians / music educators, that are
interested in becoming registered Learning Music Australia music
instructor contractors.
We currently have a waiting list of new schools / music teaching
contracts. We wish to develop a larger pool of contractors to be able
to supply schools with skilled music instructors. Learning Music Australia has strict operation guidelines, and as a
positive business practice we ‘quality assure’ by
training all of our contractors in specific business systems and
practices.
This includes areas such as behaviour management, music curriculum and
planning, school policies, basic child psychology, modern music
repertoire, music technology, business management and systems, L.M.A
modern music teaching systems and materials, and much more! We are
particularly interested in discussing exciting employment opportunities
with musicians and music educators that have a keen interest in
teaching groups of children the art of modern music performance
(particularly in the rock and pop styles).

- We can assist you in developing a comprehensive plan, which will enable
you to achieve your musical goals.

*No audition is required for the theoretical component.
To become an L.M.A music instructor you will also need to enroll in the practical component of this course (by audition only). Information provided in the ‘download section’ at the bottom of this page.
If you are unsuccessful with your audition into the practical component, we are keen to provide you with skills development to enable you to participate in the course at a later date. Either way, if you are keen to become an L.M.A music instructor – we recommend that you enrol in the Theoretical Component as soon as possible!
